When a school has over 500 students and a large staff creating a feeling of community can be a challenge. Harmony Elementary has taken the plunge to connect their classrooms with a daily all school meeting. This is made possible with the free video conferencing platform Zoom. The student led morning meetings are just long enough to connect the whole school together and foster a sense of community with the children and adults in the building.

Zoom is a web/video conferencing tool where you can conference one on one or as in the case of Harmony Elementary a large group setting.
It’s exciting to think about the possibilities for education. Virtual field trips, guest experts, connect with other classrooms and participation for students outside of the classroom are a few ideas.
